There are many possibilities(opens in a new tab) of software for marketing emails. Two of the most well-known can be found in MailChimp and Sendinblue. MailChimp is the most well-known email marketing tool, with thousands of paying customers. Sendinblue is a bit less well-known; however, it has similar features to MailChimp.

We’d like to know what MailChimp and Sendinblue compare against one another. We’ll compare them to crucial factors such as capabilities and performance, pricing, and customer service. After you’ve read this post, check out the previous Review of MailChimp(opens in a new tab) and Sendinblue Review(opens in a new tab) to find more information about each platform.

Mailchimp vs Sendinblue

MailChimp is a platform on the web which allows you to send emails to any address on your list of subscribers at the touch of a button. It is challenging to design appealing email campaigns, so MailChimp provides a selection of templates created by experts that you can alter to your personal preferences. You can also use the drag-and-drop template builder(opens in a new tab) to design your email template from the bottom from scratch.

MailChimp provides tools to help you build your list of email subscribers. It is possible to create subscription forms using the platform and place them on your site using HTML codes(opens in a new window) or an extension plug-in (for WordPress sites). In this way, every email address you add to the form will appear on subscribers on your list. You could transfer it into MailChimp as a CSV file if you have a subscriber list. CSV file and then continue sending messages to addresses in the same way as you have done before.

Similar to MailChimp, Sendinblue offers a variety of templates that can aid users in the creation of efficient marketing emails. MailChimp has a larger range of templates than Sendinblue. Sendinblue allows you to design registration forms and place them on your site to build your subscriber list. You can also run Facebook advertisements directly through Your Sendinblue account to gain new subscribers.

Sendinblue distinguishes itself from MailChimp by providing tools for SMS marketing. MailChimp has a similar function; however, Sendinblue’s marketing tools for SMS marketing features(opens in a new tab) are more advanced. Similar to Sendinblue, the tool lets you set up and send automatic transaction email messages.

MailChimp is mostly a web-based tool, but it also offers mobile applications (Android and iOS) that permit customers to control their email marketing campaigns from anywhere. These applications are useful for those in an area where it’s not practical to use a PC or desktop, e.g., during the commute.

One of the most appealing aspects I love about MailChimp is its ease of use. The dashboard is laid out to allow users to locate and use the vast array of features easily. It could not be very clear for someone new to the platform. However, MailChimp provides guides in the app to assist new users.

Sendinblue is also a web-based application. It does not have an application for mobile that lets users track their campaigns from anywhere, which is a drawback. According to our research, Sendinblue has a very user-friendly and responsive interface with features organized neatly on the left-hand side of its dashboard. You will likely be happy using Sendinblue rather than MailChimp.

MailChimp offers support via email, phone and live chat(opens in a new tab). But, support via telephone is only available for customers subscribed to the highest-priced premium plan. At the same time, the other users who pay for their services can avail of live chat or email support. MailChimp offers direct support to free users within the initial 30 days following the time they register.

Users can access MailChimp’s officially-run MailChimp Help Center, which includes instructions and user guides that cover all the features available on the platform. There’s an official marketplace that allows you to get and hire certified MailChimp experts to help you with your marketing efforts.

Sendinblue provides support via phone and email. However, this support is only available to customers who are subscribed to the Enterprise and Enterprise levels. Support for telephone calls can be reached from Monday through Friday, but not during weekends. If you have issues using Sendinblue, you can visit the official help centre for support tools, including instructions and user guides.

MailChimp is the most effective tool in terms of customer service because it provides live chat support for all paying customers, whereas Sendinblue does not.

MailChimp and Sendinblue provide free tiers but with only a few capabilities. For instance, MailChimp’s no-cost plan is restricted to 500 emails per month as opposed to Sendinblue’s, which is limited to 300.

MailChimp provides three premium plans. Basics at $11 or PS11 / $AUD16 monthly, standard for $17/PS17/AUD$25 per month, and Premium for an astronomical $299 / PS299/AUD$499 for a month. Prices increase based on the number of contacts you have. For instance, the 20,000 contacts would cost you $189 / PS189 /AUD$289 per month for Essentials and $225/PS225 or AUD$345 for a month of Standard, and $460/ PS460 or AUD$690 monthly for Premium.

Sendinblue provides three premium plans: The StarterBusiness and Enterprise. The Starter plan begins at $25/PS25 or AUD$ 40 per month. Business starts at $65/ PS65/AUD$100 per month, and Enterprise begins at $1,000 $$1500 / PS1000 / AUD$1500 each month, each of which supports unlimited contacts. However, the cost increases according to the number of emails you send each calendar month. e.g. 100000 monthly emails will cost $69/ PS69/AUD$99 per month for the Starter plan. The business plan will cost $115 / PS115 or AUD$175 per month.

In the end, the Sendinblue tool is a cheaper alternative to MailChimp.

The choice between MailChimp and Sendinblue isn’t easy. Each platform has many options for customers to handle their emails effortlessly. Both platforms have good templates, but MailChimp provides a greater variety of templates.

MailChimp offers superior customer service, performance, and usability over Sendinblue; therefore, it is the superior option. The disadvantage of MailChimp is that it is costlier than Sendinblue, making it a better choice for large-scale customers with huge marketing budgets.
